My year’s residency with Herefordshire Wildlife Trust in this special ancient broadleaf wood is flying by, and now the canopy has closed over to create a world of low light and greens of every hue. I am keeping a blog and will be showing a selection of outdoor and studio works at h.Art (at Venue West PS The Print Shed, Madley from 10 – 18 September 2016.).
Richard Bavin, HACS member.
Next members meeting a11:00am Tuesday 6th September at The Courtyard meeting room.
We’ll be discussing h.Art which starts on the Saturday 10th to make sure everyone has their work ready to bring and hang and has agreed their stewarding times.
Time-permitting we will discuss our experiences of getting work framed for exhibitions including swapping information about experiences with local framers.
Non-members are welcome to come along and see what HACS is about. We had two people join at our last meeting.
If anyone would like a taste of being on the committee or has additional time to offer please do come along to the Committee Meeting at 10 a.m. which is held on one of the sets of chairs on the landings (bring a drink up with you).
Members should should have brought work in to be photographed on Thursday July 16th. Work will be selected during the week 4th-8th July. You will be notified by email or phone if your work has been selected.
Members who took part in the workshop please come in on Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday – Lois will be there in the gallery upstairs and we will be sorting the CA workshop products and doing more! Bring in all your work on any of those days.
Take some digital photos of any object that catches your artist’s eye.
Google ‘photo box’ .
Choose a small book and upload your photos. No text, no tilting, just a white background.
Photo box will print a small book and send it to you to add to our exhibition in July.
I paid £11.80 for mine, not too onerous I thought and I have some great ideas to work from in the future as well as an interesting addition – I hope – to the up-coming exhibition at The Courtyard exhibition!
